• Have you found yourself putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) this month to dream, brainstorm, and plan for 2019? My notepad is quickly filling up with ideas and actions to take.
.
In 2019 I'm seeking out collaborations with fellow business owners. One project I'm happily thinking through: packaging content strategy with video production 📹 to deliver branded, bite-sized video for small business owners to leverage across their websites and social media channels.
.
It takes the planning out of video creation, taking your story and brand and putting a content strategist and videographer to work on getting your message and video just right.
.
If you're a small business owner, I'd so appreciate your input on video! Are you looking to use video in 2019? What's held you back from video before? Would you like to have it on your website, social, or both? Do you value messaging strategy assistance?
.
Leave your feedback in comments and know that your have my sincerest thank you for helping me plan this venture! ❤️
  • This is by no means a foodie account, but a girl has to share good stuff, right?
.
I’m a firm believer that it’s worth trying a new product once I see it 3+ times from different social accounts. And when chocolate (and a healthier twist on it) is involved, I’m in!
.
I tried this chocolate bark as well as pb delight and wow do they hit the spot! Dark chocolate lovers, head to their website now and grab yourself now! 👌🏻 to @jojoschocolatebark!
  • It feels so right to have four stockings hung from the mantle this holiday season. Of course, Target just barely changed up the look of their stockings, so two new mini stockings ended up in my cart! 🤷🏼‍♀️
.
Puppy parenthood is putting my to-do list to the test, but I've enjoyed the pockets of productivity I've carved out these past couple weeks. Who knew I could get so much done in an hour?
  • I'm feeling super thankful about this week as I work away from a coffee shop. Since it's only Wednesday, here's a quick list of what I'm thankful for.
.
1️⃣ The @femcity_desmoines board met earlier this week, and I am so honored to partner with amazing ladies to bring community and innovative events to women business owners in Des Moines. 2019 here we come!
.
2️⃣ My inbox has been busy with small business owners reaching out about partnering in 2019. These biz owners are doing crazy awesome work for clients in Des Moines and far beyond, and it's humbling to hear how a new website or ramped-up marketing efforts can help them reach their next goal.
.
3️⃣ Also, thank you to some wonderful business friends who have referred myself and @illuminateddev recently. Their trust and kindness is part of what makes small biz ownership oh so magical.
.
Also, thank YOU for following along with my blog and business journey! I'm so grateful for you. ❤️
  • Have you seen the latest How I Flourish in Des Moines feature?Today I'm excited to share fellow small business owner Claire Richmond's story of starting @helloandhighfive here in Des Moines.
.
Through the HAH5 brand, Claire builds community and empowerment for females in fitness. You might have heard of her clever fitness-inspired greeting cards! They're the perfect way to support the athlete or fitness fan in your life.

  • I’m wrapping up November in the best way, by working on my December PowerSheets.
.
Confession: My November pages are blank. Late October/early November was a blur of getting caught up after vacation, and day-to-day became tackling a never-ending to-do list. Those seasons happen, and I’m so happy to say that I’m more rested, caught up, and motivated for what the remaining month of 2018 has in store!
.
What’s your biggest goal for December? On the work front, mine is revamping the @illuminateddev website.
  • Say hello to the newest member of the Soults family! 🎀 Currently passed out after her eventful day, Ruby the golden retriever puppy joined our family today and showed off her mellow, curious, and smarty pants personality. She is one cuddly girl!
.
P.S. You can follow along with Ruby and her sister Darcie over on their new account, @darcieandruby!
  • Have you ever taken one of those personality-based questionnaires (Myers-Briggs, enneagram, color test), read through your results, and then wonder how to move forward with the helpful insights?
.
This year I’ve invested a lot of time in reflecting on and learning how I operate and how I can become a better wife, friend, and colleague. My enneagram result (type 6) really resonated with me, and I’m so thankful to have picked up this book as my travel read this week!
.
Let’s talk enneagram. Do you know your number? So far I’ve read about 8s and am fascinated! 📚
